Human interactions and emotional attachment are universal themes woven through my work. As a textile practitioner, I grew to perceive weaving beyond its traditional form. To me, the physical to-and-fro movements on the loom not only create decorative fabrics but also a vessel for thoughts and emotions, collectively yet still remains personal. Such pursuit of adding an extra dimension to my work inspired me to apply the same mindset to other mediums. In particular, it resulted in experiments with organza, glass and bioplastic, which are now frequently featured in my work.Their inherent fragile nature introduces a unique transparency into my practice, so crucial in opening up a dialogue between me, my audience and our surrounding world.

As a result of discovering this new communication bridge, I am becoming more conscious of my environment. Therefore, to fulfil my role as a socially responsible designer, I would like to integrate a more sustainable approach to my future practice.
